On February 22nd, the FINCA Peru’s Lima Branch officially launched the better living project “Fincasita.” |

This new product that FINCA Peru offers is a progressive and regular credit to make improvements, repairs, expansions and finish houses. It allows the possibility of renovation for members with excellent previous credit. Members of Fincasita will have the opportunity to save and invest in upcoming improvements, repairs, and house expansions. Fincasita; initially only focusing on the Pamplona zone - San Juan of Miraflores; later on it will be concentrating on other zones. |

On February 18th-20th FINCA Peru started the WEMAN workshop in the city of San Jose, Costa Rica. It was organized by FINCA Peru and Fundacion Mujer of Costa Rica, and sponsored by Oxfam Novib. Iris Lanao, FINCA Peru’s Executive Director, attended this event and actively participated together with 13 leaders representing different organizations of Latin America such as Ecuador, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Honduras, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Guatemala, and Costa Rica. |

During the workshop they formed the Latin American Network for Gender Justice in Economic Development, electing Iris Lanao as President of the Latin American Council. |

During the Social Preformance Task Force Meeting in Madrid on the first week of June, FINCA Peru won the following: Golden Certificate of acknowledgement from the MIX for the transparency of our Social Performance Report. |
